We are happy to make appointments outside of these hours for busy gardeners and landscapers.

Rotherview Nursery started 36 years ago. It is run by Ray and Wendy Bates. We specialise in alpines which we display in our own unique handmade hypertufa troughs, but we also have a very wide range of ferns, cottage garden perennials, camellias and shrubs.
All our plants are home grown.
Our alpine troughs have been exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Flower Show where they have been awarded several Gold Medals. Although we no longer exhibit at the RHS shows, the troughs are still available through the nursery and we have a small display on site.
ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
Our plants are grown in peat-reduced compost and we are switching to recyclable pots throughout this season.
We use nematodes to control pests and encourage wildlife in the nursery.
Once our present stock of compost containing peat has been sold/used, we will only be ordering peat-free compost for our own use and for retail sales.
