{"id":72,"date":"2019-10-14T09:23:43","date_gmt":"2019-10-14T09:23:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.rotherview.com\/?page_id=72"},"modified":"2026-04-04T14:53:48","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T14:53:48","slug":"homehome-of-rotherview-nursery-east-sussex-alpines-ferns-camellias-sussex-troughs-rhs-gold-medal-winners-crevice-gardening","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/shop.rotherview.com\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<p>Welcome to our website.<\/p>\n<p>Please click on one of choices in the Menu above to take you to the SHOP (in the middle of the yellow) where you will see our range of products.<\/p>\n<h4><b>We are now open everyday. <\/b><\/h4>\n<h4><b>Monday to Saturday 9.30 to 4.30, Sunday 10 to 4.\u00a0<\/b><\/h4>\n<p>We are happy to make appointments outside of these hours for busy gardeners and landscapers.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome novice and experienced gardeners alike, our advice is free!<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions please email or phone.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 10 MILES OF HASTINGS WE WILL DELIVER FREE OVER \u00a330.\u00a0 PLEASE EMAIL OR PHONE YOUR ORDER THROUGH, DO NOT ORDER ONLINE<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Rotherview Nursery started 37 years ago.\u00a0 It is run by Ray and Wendy Bates.\u00a0 We specialise in alpines which we display in our own unique handmade hypertufa troughs, but we also have a very wide range of ferns, cottage garden perennials, camellias and shrubs.<\/p>\n<p>All our plants are home grown.<\/p>\n<p>Our alpine troughs\u00a0 have been exhibited at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and RHS Hampton Court Flower Show where they have been awarded several Gold Medals.\u00a0 Although we no longer exhibit at the RHS shows, the troughs are still available through the nursery and we have a small display on site.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our plants are grown\u00a0 in peat-reduced compost and we are switching to recyclable pots throughout\u00a0 this season.<\/p>\n<p>We use nematodes to control pests and encourage wildlife in the nursery.<\/p>\n<p>Once our present stock of compost containing peat has been sold\/used, we will only be ordering peat-free compost for our own use and for retail sales.<\/p>\n<p>We hope you enjoy browsing and looking at our products.\u00a0 Please contact us with any queries.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to our website.
